motherboard problem

    i got this frend that had some problems in her pc.i went n re-installed windowsxp sp2..i installed all the software like microsoft office n stuff. but i dont know whats her motherboard?she bought the pc last year.all i can see on the motherboard is this:

    sis962 ua
    (c)(m) sis'02
    pnd1931
    03150a

    her pc specs are:
    P4 2.66GHz
    512mb pc2700 DDR
    40gb 5400rpm
    integrated graphics with up to 64mb dynamic memory

    this was a bundled pc system with COMPAQ Presario S4040AN

    i just need to know how i can download the motherboard drivers coz theres no sound in this system. but the usb port is working.

    if it's a compaq pc, go to compaq website and select the model of PC then download the drivers there.

    unfortunatly with it being a compaq, it will have a compaq mobo (cos their mobos and cases are only compatible with compaq stuff) you could try this or download and install this or this may be able to id your mobo, compaq remain tight liped about where they get their mobo's from, someone here may know where their mobo's come from
