first of all i wanna say haello to everybody (hello even), as i'm a new user.
a colleague gave me a faulty p.c, saying he had stuck a wet, sdram chip he had found into his ddram motherboard. the motherboard smoked! and although the power and post came on the p.c would not boot into the o/s and we were unable to install a new o/s coz the system kept hanging around the partition drive phase and would go no further. i replaced the motherboard thinking that was the problem and now nothing happens, power comes on, but no bleeps!, and the moniter wont power up. any suggestions?

are you sure no other memory got wet? or other components? and i bet you already did this but is the mobo compatible with the memory and other parts of the pc? im guessing the mobo might have fried somethin else when it fried itself.
