    Hello,

I have reason to believe that my motherboard Asus P8Z68-V LX is faulty.
The processor is an Intel i5-2500k (Sockel LGA1155), while I have the Nvidia Gforce GTX560.

I bought and built the system in early 2012 and now the mainboard doesn't work all the time.
As I don't need top-notch performance, I don't plan on buying a new mainboard, CPU, GPU and RAM but would indeed prefer replacing only the defectuous mainboard.
However, I cannot find the same (or other P8Z68) mainboards for not too expensive in any of the better known online hardware shops.

What would you suggest as a resolution to my problem?

I suggest you buy some other motherboard. LGA1155 boards are hard to find nowadays.

But that means I also need to buy some new CPU, even though mine still works fine.
    Is that correct?

I mean you should look for another LGA1155 motherboard than Asus P8Z68-V LX if that model is not available. Those LGA1155 motherboards are quite hard to find but there are some available. If you are not overclocking, selection is much better.
