I bought an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe mobo just before Christmas and had to wait to buy an AMD Phenom 9600 Black, But the bios on the motherboard needed to be upgraded to use the Phenom so I used a 4200+ X2 and some Ram from one of my other computers. The computer would not power up, turn on for 2 seconds and turn off. I unpluged everything, no videocard,no HDD,nothing, just power to the motherboard,CPU power,Power Switch. I changed the power supply 2 times and tried about 6 sticks of Ram that all work, I also borrowed my friends 4200+ x2 and tried that one(thanks Dave). I then called Asus and got an RMA# and Shipped it off.

Today I get a diffrent board in the mail, same model, diffrent board. I have since bought a new Case,Power supply,Ram,Videocard,HDD,DVDRW. Agian I need to upgrade the Bios so this time I use my Sempron to upgrade. I get it all set up barebone, just whats needed and turn it on. Then 2 seconds later it turned off. I then did the clr cmos then moved ram around,no help.

What is the chance I got 2 bummed boards, is there something I missed?
    Any help would be great.

    Cheers Rik

Do you have the CPU heatsink installed?

I think you forgot to plug in your 4-pin connector, that's what happened when mine was unplugged

Are you sure your putting the standoffs under the board in the right places and not shorting the board?
