I'm new to the forum scene so apologies in advance if I do/say something that's not kosher. I'm also uncertain whether this should go in general hardware or even the gaming section. I recently built my brother a new gaming machine. He's having (and has had from the start) mouse lag issues when playing World of Warcraft. The mouse will sometimes work fine, but often pauses for a second or two before moving. The odd thing is it works fine in Crysis, the only other game he's tested the system on. I've found enough info on the issue to guess it's probably related to his videocard/drivers, specifically as they're interfacing w/the game engine. Many of the solutions people post don't work with the current Forceware drivers, and I've reached somewhat of a dead end. We've enabled/disabled hardware cursor/smooth mouse, to no avail. We've disabled SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel. We've enabled/disabled V-sync as well. Here's a rundown on the system specs (the mouse is wired, USB - I told him to get a PS/2 mouse to test it with, but he's too lazy to go out and get one): ASUS P5N32-E SLI 680i mobo Core 2 Duo E6850 EVGA 8800GTS SSC 640MB WD Raptor 150GB ATA150 drive 2x1GB Patriot DDR2 800 SDRAM Corsair HX520w ATX12V v2.2 It's all stock clocked, though there are aftermarket coolers on the CPU and GPU. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
