I'm having trouble running games on my computer i had a friend built for gaming. It was running fine untill the last few days. Before i get into the issue i'll just say that i have done no tampering inside the computer since it was first built. When i run dxdiag my graphics device use to read : Card name: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Manufacturer: (Standard display types) Chip type: NVIDIA DAC type: 8 bit Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1201&SUBSYS_35271458&REV_A1 Display Memory: n/a Dedicated Memory: n/a Shared Memory: n/a Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (1Hz) Monitor Name: Generic Non-PnP Monitor Monitor Model: Monitor Id: Native Mode: Output Type: Driver Name: vga Driver File Version: 6.01.7600.16385 (English) Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385 DDI Version: unknown Driver Model: unknown Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 7/14/2009 07:38:47, 15360 bytes WHQL Logo'd: Yes WHQL Date Stamp: Device Identifier: {D7B71E3E-5141-11CF-E937-97080FC2CB35} Vendor ID: 0x10DE Device ID: 0x1201 SubSys ID: 0x35271458 Revision ID: 0x00A1 Driver Strong Name: Unknown Rank Of Driver: Unknown Video Accel: Deinterlace Caps: n/a D3D9 Overlay: n/a DXVA-HD: n/a DDraw Status: Not Available D3D Status: Not Available AGP Status: Not Available AND NOW IT READS : Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family DAC type: Internal Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0112&SUBSYS_01121849&REV_09 Display Memory: 1696 MB Dedicated Memory: 64 MB Shared Memory: 1632 MB Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor Monitor Model: HP x2301 Monitor Id: HWP2975 Native Mode: 1920 x 1080(p) (60.000Hz) Output Type: HD15 Driver Name: igdumd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll,igdumd32,igd10umd32,igd10umd32 Driver File Version: 8.15.0010.2696 (English) Driver Version: 8.15.10.2696 DDI Version: 10.1 Driver Model: WDDM 1.1 Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 3/19/2012 23:31:56, 8087040 bytes WHQL Logo'd: Yes WHQL Date Stamp: Device Identifier: {D7B78E66-4252-11CF-7171-1821A9C2C535} Vendor ID: 0x8086 Device ID: 0x0112 SubSys ID: 0x01121849 Please if you know whats going wrong help me. My friend and i have the exact same computer, we literally built them with the same parts. monitors, keyboards and everything and he can run skyrim smoothly on ultra high whilst i cant even run it on medium. Is there a simple solution too, im not very computer savvy.
You need to download a program called Everest, It will identify all your hardware... They make a free version.. If this is a gaming PC , I don't see a added video card.. Need to know if your card is Onboard or a card ??
