Hello, i have a K9VGM-V system with 1gb of DDR2-800mhz memory, x1650 512mb PowerColor GFX card, 2xIDE drives, 1xFloppy drive and CD drive.

Today, i bought an extra 1gb of DDR2 800 memory, which works ok on its own, if i remove the older 1gb memory card. However, if i have both of the 1gb memory modules in, then my PC will not show the BIOS and POST screens, and the monitor will not turn on (also the HDD Light stays on).

I have a 250w PSU that came with a crap Emachines computer, and i am using a 20pin to 24pin converter cable for my mobo. I belive that this memory problem is because i do not have enough power to run the mobo.

I dont know if this is the problem, as i have tested both my DIMM slots, and both memory chips work, so i was wondeing if it was something to do with the 250w PSU? I am thinking of getting a 400w supply that has PCI-E and SATA connectors for my system (it is a uATX board), and was wondering if this would fix my problem?

    Thank you for your inputs...

P.S. All the connectors on the board are connected (4pin for CPU + 12pin (12v) for mobo + other stuff)
P.S. (ii) Here is the PSU that i was going to order if my PSU is underpowered: Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
