My Music and My Pictures keeps popping up

I like to keep music, pictures and films in a folder called media. It keep my documents that little bit tidier.

But every now and then windows puts a My Music and My Pictures folder in My Documents which I keep deleting.

Does anyone know how to get windows to stop doing this?

Try deleting it from C:/ Doccuments and settings first and see if it comes back again or not.

Do you use Windows Media Player by any chance?

*I think* Windows Media player looks for those folders whenever it starts up. If they aren't there then it will create them

The easiest way to fix it is to go into the player's options and change the directory for your media files

ahhh, Thanks megamaced, I havent tried it yet but it makes sense. I did install WMP9 not so long ago so it may well be the problem.
