When I right click anything, whether it'd be on AOL, my desktop, paint shop pro, all my right click menus are "transparent" and in order to view the list of the menus, I have to run the arrow over the to make them visible? IT seems to fix it temporarily when I reboot, but it comes back over time. Is this a windows issue or some other software might be causing it? Has anyone ever come across this? Would love to have a fix. Im' running XP Pro, Pentium 4, have Mozilla and Interent Explorer...Any help appreciated.
You should remove your email address as soon as possible... You never know who's looking at it Try this: Right click the desktop > Properties. That will bring up the display properties. Now under the theme tab select 'Windows Classic', then press 'Apply' and 'OK'. That should return everything to normal. If you want the default blue 'Luna' theme, go back into the display properties and select 'Windows XP'.
IT did not work when I changed it to Windows Classic. It's still transparent. Sigh. Strangest damn thing I ever saw, and there is nothing on it anywhere else.
What graphics card and software are you using? nVidia's Forceware has options to enable and disable transparency for example
Mega, it's defintely not an option I have checked for my Nvidei. Like I said, the problem just occurs over a certain period of time so it's not something I"m changing manually within my display properites of my nvidia drivers, I really think it's a windows issue. I can right click "start" and the box is barely visbile, you can only see the outside lines. Anything, I have open, same thing. Office, AOL, desktop, I can't believe nobody else is suffering! Why me! lol, I appreciate your help though. It hasn't happened yet today, but I'm just waiting for it to come back.
Can you post a screenshot? My menus are transparent, but I don't think we're talking about the same thing...
[ot]Heh, seems that way sometimes, doesn't it? Actually, I just wanted to provide a reference point. But since I don't have anything but Mandriva on my desktops, it makes sense that any screenshots I post will be of Mandriva. [/ot]
