Hi everyone! I'm new here and I was wondering if you could help me fix a problem I have with my video card. Or at least I think it's my video card. Well, honestly It was my fault. I got mad when a game of mine lagged so much that the whole computer froze. So I punched the computer really hard and turned it off. When I started it after a while the screen was really wierd (and still is). It has strange dots/lines that comes down vertically. If the dots go over a dark color of the screen the dots are red. And if over any bright color it's light blue. I know I was an idiot. And I guess the chances in fixing it are very small. Can someone still help me? Lol, and I'm hiering an anger management phsycologist (kidding). :p

First thing would be to check all the connections and make sure they're tight enough - the monitor<>cable<>VGA<>motherboard; it would also be a good idea to clean your computer case once in a while. what kind of VGA do you own?

If it turns out that your VGA is not damaged, try to overclock it to see if you can maybe get some more juice out...

If with the cleaning and checking/reseating those things don't go away, you've got yourself some artefacts and that means the GPU is damaged. This'll be a lesson - don't bite the hand that feeds you. :D
