Probably by your NAT router. The box itself had an RFC1918 address.

If your server has a local IP, your router is NAT'ing.

Oh, duh... It was late when I read that sorry lol. As far as port forwarding... I have 3306 open, and within the network it isn't working either so I don't think that is the problem.

Well, you might want to nmap it on that port, just to be sure. :) In fact, would you please post the results of an nmap scan on your MySQL server from a client, and also the exact command line you're using to connect from the client (replace the password with XXXXXX)? I was able to connect to MySQL on the server just fine while I was in, so I need more info for sure.
