need a new PSU to run a BFG 7800 gs

Hello all.

ok i am getting a 7800gs soon but i have bin told my psu is no good so i am need of a new.

and as i am buying the 7800gs from Overclockers UK Power Supplies

i would also like to get the psu from there as well.

now i don't know alot about psu but i did see this one Hiper - Products - Power Supply - Type-R Modular Blue Label

would that be ok to run the 7800?

if not could some one help me find one that would run the 7800 gs from this link Overclockers UK Power Supplies

Yeah, those Hiper Type-R units are pretty good if you're in a pinch for a decent unit with smaller amounts of cash.

i was looking at the Antec TruePower 2.0 550W PSU it's about £80 witch is a bit much for me i think but if i get extra i mite buy it instead.

anyone know the measurements for the 7800 gs i think it would fit into my case but not 100% sure.

People fit these in SFF cases, so unless you're running a half-height or 1U or 2U server, that card should fit. It's a large card (probably 8-10 inches long), but it should fit in most cases.
 
that shoud fit as long as it the back of the card touch the ram slots but it should be ok .
