hi, how i check ram controller ic in mothermoard sould work or not. simple motherboard intel 845 or 865. problem is that when i install ram when no beep and no display, when without ram its become beep. help please
You need to know the manufacturer and number or your motherboard (for example - Asus P5VDC-MX) and then you can go to the manufacturer's website and look up the compatibility sheets for RAM - your motherboard may not support that RAM you're trying to push in. How to know what your RAM manufacturer is, look at the RAM sticks - there should be some identification strings written. Google those strings and you'll get the manufacturer of your RAM.
