    Hi,

    I've the following configuration
    Board Model: D845GEBV2
    Board Version: AAA97674-104
    BIOS Version: RG84510a.86A.0033.P17.0307141128

I was trying to install a linux from my usb drive as my cd rom doesn't work. I'm not able to boot from my USB drive. In order to test whether my HW supports booting from USB, I even tried booting and installing windows from USB and this also again fails and my system boots from the HDD.

In my BIOS I was able to set my USB drive as the first boot device. Please some one help me in this. I've raised this question in a linux forum as well. I've been trying this for the past two weeks and searched a dozen of websites but none of them works for me.

    Please help me on this.

    Regards,
    K.Ramesh Karthik.

Try to put the stick in all USB holes. One has to work. The front ones may be considered secondary by the low-level boot controlling program.

gautamhir, shouldn't your post be in a separate thread?
