I have recently bought a new pc with a gigabyte gv-nx96t1ghp witch is Nvidia 9600GT 1 gb. When i saw the information on gamer hud or ntune it said its temp was around 70 C. When I was playing assasins creed it went to 107 C. Is this normal. My sys speciffications: Intel q6600 2.4ghz 2gb ram Asus P5ql-e Any opinion will be grately appreciated.
need help The idle temp does seem high (70 C), as do the load temp of 107 C, should be looking between 40 to 60 when idle and under 90 under full load. (going from past experience) I think the reason could be a poor quality case, the graphics card might be overheating or alternatively nTune could be reporting the temps incorrectly. Try this utility to see if it reports similar temps GPU Caps Viewer: Graphics Card Information Utility, GPU Temperature, OpenGL Extensions and API Support | oZone3D.Net
need help Yes you're right it's too high temp. I tried the utility but the same results. check this out: these are screenshots when i just turned on my pc. It was taken in the gigabyte gamer hud. When the temp is something like 100C the bar goes in the red line.(If you can look at it it has also a small space to go to full. How i can determine if my case is a poor quality? Also look at a screenshot of my 9600GT. It has a big fan but its too silent. I cant even hear it when i work. Do you know if there is a way i can make the fan work harder cuz i dont need it to be silent.
need help I think [google]NVIDIA System Tools.[/google] should let you control the fan speed. (or you can try EVGA | EVGA Precision but guarantee it will work) Sorry by poor quality case, I meant it probably has poor cooling performance.
