can any one tell is amd cut the prices of their processers if they cut can any one give me the new prices i m ging to build a new machine and need some help from u guys
AMD has already cut their prices, pretty nicely. Although Conroe is being sold to the public, the stockpile is not on a regular basis, so Intel's prices still remain higher than what they soon will be. Intel is also introducing the Core2 Duo X6900, which will take the new place as their best processor. This could mean a further price reduction. When the company with market power reduces its prices, usually everyone else must follow. Now, let's keep in mind that AMD is going to release the 4x4setup either end of Q3 or beginning of Q4 2006, I'm curious to see how this will effect prices as it is surely AMDs struggling attempt to keep up with Intel's new line (for the time being). In any case, the processors you're seeing on the market now should surely drop sometime this year. There has been talk of AMD reintroducing rebates to get these processors our of warehouse.
