Hey, well i got a free Netgear router today, its wireless enabled, but i aint using wireless for my computers.

I am wondering, whats the best way to protect the wireless from outsiders? should i just turn it off, but i might use it sometime.

Turn it off for now. Then turn it on later when you need it. The best way to protect you wireless from outsiders when you wireless is on is by turning WPA or WEP options on the Wireless Settings.

You can find it under Firewall Rules, if you cant find the specific port you are looking, you have to create one under Services.
