Good day ladies and gentlemen. I have a problem and I would sincerely appreciate your help. My friend has got a PC with vista installed on it. He uses an ADSL router to go online. A few days ago his Pc stopped working online and when he brought it to me I found that the router is working fine but when I went to Network and sharing centrer I found that the NIC was not being seen. I then checked in device manager and found that the NIC is showing up. I tried reinstalling a pci NIC which I know for sure to be working but still have the same problem. What can I do to fix the computer so as to be able to go online.
What is the brand of this PC ? Does it have onboard network plugin or is it a PCI slot ? try changing the slot/port...
