Never try to hack 127.0.0.1

The King
Some script kiddies are so stupid.
A supposedly l33t master haxor on a german IRc channel was kicked out of the channel by a moderator. He then demanded the ip address of the mod so that he could attack his PC. The mod hands over an ip, which happens to be 127.0.0.1 or otherwise known simply as localhost. He then starts using a program to delete the files on the targets hard drive, g: e: d: so forth until he completely formats his own computer.
Not so l33t is he?

Lol disable your firewall and then try. :D
I ran Nessus, but it seems 127.0.0.1 doesn't have any known vulnerabilities. I'll get the bastard though, you just wait! Soon I'll have control over his entire system! Mwhahaha!

just type su - root. Then your password. THen you got control :)

I tried hacking that 127.0.0.1 guy and some lame windows XP firewall popped up, I just clicked the X in the top right corner and I was in :good:

BTW, for the record 127.0.0.1 is your local loopback address. It's a publically non-routable address. The "hacker" is what we call a script kiddie; he didn't have any knowledge or abilities of his own, so he relied instead on tools made by others. I'd say he got what he deserved. :) Check out bash.org or programmingforums.org for more stories like this one.

shutup i hack you! I'm so good at hacking, I've lost any need to eat! I just hack proteins in meh buddha belly.
