New Budget Computer (first build)

Hi guys,
my mother has been using a slow and old computer for years now. I always wanted to build a computer, so I thought I would build her one as a present. I kindly ask for your advice on my hardware, since its my first time building a computer :)
budget = $400

*I have a question here: my motherboard has 24 connector and 4 for the cpu, does this work with this psu?

well in my opinion this setup is overkill. i would recommend getting maybe a cpu: AMD quad-core A6-series A6-3650
Mobo is just fine.
You dont need a gpu as this is included with the cpu and mobo.
PSU: Antec VP-450 450W
Case: Just keep in mind that you can only fit 2HDD's, 2 CD/DVD drives and 1 slot to put in a card reader.
and maybe take the HDD down to 5200 RPM

this setup should be cheaper and all the other items that i didnt name and you named are good for your uses.

if you need any help with building you setup just tell me or another forum user.

I don't Think you can build this computer for $400.00 bucks..Your more likely looking at $600.00 to $700.00 bucks... What about your OS ?
