Guys, I'm thinking about building an extreme gaming rig with christmas, instead of buying a PS3 and a Mac. I was thinking about the following setup:

    Intel Core Duo E6600 (2.4 Ghz) €309 (£210.01)
    Arctic-Cooling Freezer 7 Pro €19 (£12.91)
    Asus P5B Plus Intel P965 Socket 775 €169 (£114.86)
    Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR2-800 Kit €219 (£148.84)
    Thermaltake Toughpower 600W €99 (£67.29)
    Maxtor DiamondMax 17 HDD SATA 160GB €55 (£37.38)
    Geforce 8800GTX/HTDP (768 MB GDDR3) €589 (£400.31)
    HP DVD-940i (dvd burner) €49 (£33.30)
    Antec Nine-hundred case €109 (£74.08)

    Screen:
    Acer AL2016Ws (20 inch(1680x1050)) €229 (£155.64)

    Total of products: €1846 (£1254.63)
    Then comes the VAT (19%) €294.74 (£200.32)
So the full Total should be €2141 (£1455.13)

I haven't chosen an OS yet, I'll do that later.

    Any suggestions?

how about waiting until nearer Christmas to decide, prices will drop considerably in 9 months so your rig will be cheaper or you can get more for your money

That's a great idea. Prices will drop very quick. Thanks! But I might even consider building it sooner. But according to my budget, I'll have to wait about 6 months. So I can only buy it after august this year. So it would be best for me to wait until the christmas, and look for the possibilities then.
