Hi Guys

I want to build a new rig from scratch, this is what i've come up with :D

EVGA nForce 680i SLI SKT775 7.1channel audio DDR2 ATX £149.98
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4ghz) Socket 775 FSB1066 4MB Cache £162.97
Arctic Cooling (AC-FRZ-7P) Freezer 7 Pro Socket 775 CPU Cooler £ 16.36
Antec Nine Hundred - Gaming Case with 200mm Top Fan £ 57.99
Coolermaster eXtreme Power 650W PSU-ATX 12V V2.01
120mm Fan 20+4pin £ 67.00
OCZ (OCZ2A8001G) 1Gb PC2-6400 DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 ATI (x 2) £146.50
Sapphire X1950 512MB Crossfire master edition GDDR4 PCI-E £238.27
Western Digital WD2500KS Caviar SE 250GB 7200RPM SATA2/300
16MB Cache - OEM £ 39.99

Total = £880 ex vat

I want to use it mainly for 3d modelling, rendering, photo manipulation etc and possibly some gaming.

How important is the graphics card for what i want to be doing? Should i be spending more or can i get away with spending less??? :confused:

Can anyone see any problems with the spec, or are there any other components which may better to use?

Thanks in advance guys

Will that graphics card (or the one i spec'd) be sufficient for 3d modelling and rendering?

what extra benefits will crossfire give me? - i do want a system that i can expand and upgrade easily in the future.

Is the graphics card a main factor for 3d modelling etc or should i be concentrating more on ram and processor speed?
