Hello all!! It's been quite awhile since my last build and so I feel it's that time again. Unfortunately, I've been out of the loop for so long which brings me here, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to spend any more than $1500. Currently I'm looking at the following: Case: Antec Nine Hundred Storage: WD Caviar Black 640 PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W (probably overkill) Motherboard: ASUS P6T6 CPU: Intel Core i7-920 CPU cooling: Vigor Monsoon III LT I am going to attempt to over-clock a bit, nothing crazy. I know I want to run with 6 gigs of ram but need some suggestions on which to pick up? Also, which video card(s) would your recommend? My current display is 28" with a res of 19x12 so would I benefit more with an SLI/Crossfire setup? I've always gone with nVidia due to horror stories with ATI (drivers being a big thing) but that definitely does not seem the case now. Again, thanks in advance for any help provided, it's greatly appreciated.
wouldn't bother with the Asus motherboard instafail. best off investing in an evga motherboard or gagabyte. pref with onboard raid ich10r get another caviar black in raid 0. good video cards are 2x ati radeon 5850's or 5870's so you gonna want a motherboard with atleast two pci-express x16 2.0 slots (4gb/s) bus caps.
