    HI!
Yes I am new. I followed the directions and I read the manual, I triple checked everything..
I have my computer assembled and when I press the button nothing happens. When I take out the cpu the fan and hard drive( gets power) will work.

When I connect this power supply to another computer-no problem.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Well, what're your system specs. I have a suspicion that the power supply might not be adequate for your new rig, but be enough for the other system. However, without knowing what you have, I'm really just in the dark here.

sorry! I have a 300 watt power supply, chaintech summit mother board, socket 478 ,amd sempron 2500+, pc2100 ram 512 M

Could I have fried the motherboard and the cpu in some way? The system has never booted up.

I purchased them as a kit from micro center they checked and all should work together.

    Thanks!!

Did you use the standoffs in the case?

I didn't use the standoffs the first time, but I realized it after it wouldn't power up, I'll bet this is the poblem!
