Ok I am going to buy a new computer this summer .I want to go for high-end parts (not the absolute highest , however) in order to get a PC that will satisfy my gaming needs for a few years.What do you guys think and what do you suggest ? Some of my friends suggested getting a 6800 extreme but the mobos for those are kind of expensive - can someone point out some 6800 configs or what I would need to change ? Thanks
Nice, however, the graphics card price, is it a lot more than a normal 8800GTX? because if it is, don't bother getting the ultra, as it is not a great deal better, it is just an overclocked GTX. A VERY nice setup there. anyhoo, get a GTX unless the price difference is pretty low
Besides the 8800 Ultra ripoff bit, I have a second suggestion. Right now, Intel's Core 2 is handing it to AMD, plus, they overclock like mad. My suggestion is a Core 2 Duo E6600 instead. It's about the same price, plus it tends to perform better.
