Ok I am going to buy a new computer this summer .I want to go for high-end parts (not the absolute highest , however) in order to get a PC that will satisfy my gaming needs for a few years. What do you guys think and what do you suggest ?
    CPU: AMD 6000+ SKAM2 DUAL-CORE 3.0GHZ
    MB:GIGABYTE GA-M59SLI-S5
    RAM: 2048MB Team Xtreem DDR2 800MHz 2*1024
    GPU:BFG GeForce 8800 Ultra 768MB DDR3 384-bit
    HDD: Western Digital 150GB S-ATA 10000rpm 16MB Raptor X
    TOWER:GIGABYTE 3D AURORA 570
    PSU: EGX1000EWL-DXX 1000W ENERMAX GALAXY
    DVD LG GSA-H42LRB Retail
    SOUND:Creative X-FI MX XTREME Gamer FATAL1TY Pro
G15 and G5 mouse and keyboard
    SYNCMASTER 226BW 22” Screen
Probably going to get Vista for it (32 bits Ultimate)
    and
    Saitek Flight Control System X52
Gamepad Logitech Cordless Rumblepad II PC

I know some of the stuff might be over-kill but I want to use them for a long time and still get good perfomance out of games.
Some of my friends suggested getting a 6800 extreme but the mobos for those are kind of expensive - can someone point out some 6800 configs or what I would need to change ? Thanks

Nice, however, the graphics card price, is it a lot more than a normal 8800GTX? because if it is, don't bother getting the ultra, as it is not a great deal better, it is just an overclocked GTX. A VERY nice setup there.

anyhoo, get a GTX unless the price difference is pretty low

Besides the 8800 Ultra ripoff bit, I have a second suggestion.

Right now, Intel's Core 2 is handing it to AMD, plus, they overclock like mad.

My suggestion is a Core 2 Duo E6600 instead. It's about the same price, plus it tends to perform better.
