So I got my new hard drive. Put it in, partitioned it and formatted it but its only showing up as 298gb?? Surely that can't be right. Its supposed to be 320gb. Is there something Ive done wrong?
HDD manufactures measure everything in 1000's instead of 1024's coz it makes the drives look bigger :dsmile2:
Damnit thats bull. I figured itd be something like that I didn't know about.. Damn good job I got the 320 instead of the 300.
i must admit, its a pain in the :swear: as i like to keep my partitions in nice neat sizes.... and if i want to use the whole of the drive i end up with a partition with xx.x GB Call me nutty, i just like my pc 'neat and tidey' (as my room is a complete tip, i can only get to my bed + computer )
Lol nah my pc being messy is a reflection of me its just like my room..bits missing..things in the wrong place and barely accesible. Just the way I like it
