Hey Guys. New here but not to the comp world. need advice though. the internet cafe i work at are upgrading pc's and i'm trying to find the best place to buy hardware. i live in ireland. tried great sites like Newegg.com but cant seem to find out if they deliver to ireland. i've tried komplett.ie and there good, just wondering if thats the best. any ideas? Cheers!
Newegg don't ship to anywhere outside US as far as I know. You can try ebuyer, I've used them and they're quite impressive. So are microdirect. Both of them are good, although I've only used the former.
I've done a little browsing, and it seems that Komplett is a European online shop that ships to Ireland for sure. You might want to browse the forums over at the Irish tech site Techseekers and see what else you can come up with. However, I'd also look at some of the places the UK guys have bought from and see if they send packages to Ireland.
I'm not totally sure if they delivery to Ireland but: www.overclockers.co.uk www.eclipsecomputers.com www.rlsupplies.co.uk Used them before, good companies, OcUK (the first one in the list) is probably my favourite, lots of selection and a good trustworthy store.
MicroDirect is a good site. Their prices are sometimes lower than OcUK and they have a large range of hardware. They also deliver to Northern Ireland, im not sure if that's where you are but oh well. -Regards, Chris_
As mentioned before, ebuyer.com is a good place to get your hardware. I've bought several things from them. Be careful though, don't buy any of their value stuff (ebuyer extra value)! It is very cheap and therefore very attractive, but don't take a chance because none of it works! I've bought a generic USB card which didn't work (via based, see 'WarZone' forum ), a cheap PC case which was tacky and broke in transit, and an MP3 player which was dead on arrival!
So far bought PC bits from - RLsupplies (they ship to ireland for an average of £18), Novatech (Northern Ireland only), eBay and The Cooling Shop ("To find out how much it will cost to ship your order in the UK, please see the chart below. (International Rates Coming soon)" From the site....).
