new HDD

    first i'm sorry for posting this, i have bought a 320Gb HDD, connected it as Slave on the Primery IDE (cable select), gparted is displaying 298.09Gb free
    [​IMG] i didnt expect to see 320Gb free, cos of partition table and that, but i wasn't expecting to loose nearly 22Gb, although i think this is probably normal, i would like somebody to tell me it's normal

    It's normal. :) A percentage of the HDD is reserved internally for error correction.
