i just bought a new heatsink and its the one with cheap plastic clips. 2 of them on the side broke off so it wont twist and lock in properly and my comp wont start is there any alternative to make em stick or click or lock in?? plz help P.S i bought this online so if there isnt another solution ill just ship it back but it sure is a hastle
It may be poor instructions, but most likely a batch problem - see if the supplier won't send you some better clips - metal if "insulation isn't an issue" as it is difficult to judge the quality of plastic, esp under stress - suddenly they give up! Perhaps this tells you something about the quality design of the heatsink - why would they cheapskate ove the clips? Maybe ask for a better heatsink that doesn't involve this manufacturer - who was it? ((.I am of course presuming you are 'whiter than white' in this matter and that you haven't bodged something together that wasn't intended to match.))
Normally it is difficult to find an alternative for your issue. You can try one thing, apply super glue and try to stick them. But be careful, select lower PH level glue. If not it will burn your all the stuff. By the way can you put an image on that handle here.
