New laptop

A friend of mine is trying to find a new laptop but I've never had one myself so I'm not very good at finding them! The budget is arounf £700-£800. What advise could anyone offer when buying a laptop for the first time? What should I look for?
I found this laptop which seem to me to be good value. What does anyone else think?
 
all i can say is that i would not pay that much for that thing, take the VAT off it and then yea maybe, the graphics would of bieng better if they were somthing like nvidias geforce 6600 go or somthing, what ever there called.
