ProcalX
all grown up
nothing major, all went quite well for my 1st "new" mobo installation.
(a mid range system) -
XP 2500+
2x512mb Corsair pc2700 DDR
DVD 16x
CD-RW 32x
XP Pro
2x80gb WD HHD's 7200rpm
Radeon 9600XT 128mb
The PC speaker (the 1 that makes the bios beeps) is really annoying in that it use's the speaker to beep when ever a information or warning or question box comes up using windows, please tell me how to fix it as its incredibly annoying.
also ive checked my monitor and its fine and working brilliantly, however whenever either windows restarts due to new hardware, software or if i manually reboot even via the button the monitor turns itself off (from green light to orange) and stays there as if its in hibernation.
now i've checked the power management settings in windows and everything is fine in there, any ideas? e.g:
i shutdown the pc
turn the pc on
monitor doesnt receive a signal
on 2nd pc boot up again (after a hard shutdown via rocker switch)
monitor works
anyhelp wld be much appreciated thanks
tom
