ok, well i have about £60-£80 to spend on a motherboard, i want a good motherboard that is excellent for overclocking and optimizations and stuff, it need to be skt478 and AGP. i need some help on were to buy on from, and advice/finding me a good motherboard (please be uk sites only)
i take it you've loked on the number 1 computer stuff site in the u.k. (overclockers.co.uk) so i can only suggest www.eclipsecomputers.com (although their stock thing with me was a bit bad they still delivered as soon as they got the goods in)
S478 and AGP is getting pretty rare, but look for either the Abit IS7/IS7-G/IS7-E (same motherboard, just slightly different options with SATA and GbE LAN) or the Asus P4P800. Both are i865PE motherboards and offer the best tweak options. I've been very pleased with my IS7-E in terms of tweaks and overclocking. I suggest these motherboards because they'll probably be some of the easiest to find at this point in time.
MSI 865PE Neo2-PFS Platinum (Socket 478) Motherboard (MB-018-MS) what about that one on overclockers.co.uk, its the first on... http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acata...Socket_478.html it looks very nice, is it actually any good, i actually bought this motherboard once, then i discoverd my 1.2ghz celeron wouldent fit it lol , so is it any good?
i'm not sure about the platinum one but i have the MSI 865PE Neo2 one, its a red board and its been great, served me well since i got this computer nearly 2 years ago, and that one is a higher model so it should be good,
the only thing i would miss about this faulty dfi board, is that its crimson, it is the same exact color of the ati card.
