Ive decided to sell my EXOS and the two blocks and move back to air cooling. Im not overclocking(cept the video) and I want a quieter computer.

Im going to be moving to either a Zalman 7000Cu or -AlCu. Ill also be ordering two silent nexus fans and an NV5 Silencer. Pics to come when I have everything ordered and installed.

My goal is to obtain a quiet and (visibly) wire-free computer. Stay tuned!

Am i mistaken or is Water cooling meant to be alot quieter than air?

and on the subject of my pc, i put loads of cable wrap round most of the wires to tidy them up alot more.. :good:

And... u'll be pleased to know i removed that fan grill on the back with abit of difficulty but none the less, its done :) (although with alittle sharred metal round the edges)

I get paid friday, so I have in mind to order: (wishlist)
    Nvidia 6800
Sony Silver 16X Dual Layer DVD-RW
    2 Silent 80mm Case Fans
Some Case Silencing (for the vibrations e.t.c)

    Then i'm done..

Although i am still waiting for a Bios Chip to arrive so i can have a bios that WORKS!

sounds good. ya, internal water cooling is usually quieter than air but since the fans on the EXOS sit right on top and outside of the case, theyre louder. The zalman is virtually silent at 5V and the fans are just as quiet. The NV5 Silencer will take some work but will be worth it in the end

Well don't be expecting me to have my spec ready any time soon, first of all i need a new bios chip for my motherboard (sending mine of tonight to ABit) will take another 7 days.

I get payed this thursday :good:, problem is i'm probably not going to get a graphics card and all me other bits till xmas.. as i've decided i'm going to go snowboarding in the french alpes for 10 days on first of january :)

and i'd rather pay the £500 all inclusive + spending money for the week of £100 than no a graphics card.. i can always get one at another time :)

Just a few pics before I order either the Zalman 7000B-AlCu or the new 7700-AlCu and an NV5 silencer. The all copper versions are too heavy for my liking. Ive still gotta rewire my system, cut the grills out, and get the new HSFs installed. Enjoy..comments?

Cool, incredibly neat system (wire wise), must be very very good airflow.

I need to sort my cabling out some more, whats the wire wrap that you have round all your cables? (the black stuff) sorry noobish question :good:

    I'd like to get some..

Only things in my system i need to sort out are really the IDE cables (No sata drive atm) and so i have a very horribly long set of IDE cables blocking the systems air flow.

Are you talking about my PSU wires? those come pre-sleeved from the factory.

As for my wiring overall..its not too bad, could be better. Just need to spend some time on it and plan it all out. Ill be tearing my system apart in a few weeks when I order some my new parts around XMas so my wiring will be even better after I put it back together.(Im getting a gift certificate to newegg for Xmas from my uncle so why spend money when I can spend that instead).

Well i went out and replaced my IDE cables with Akasa IDE cables (really really compressed round ide cables - v.small) and my temps case wise are v.low, never higher than 23.0C my CPU idle is about 28C, 45C with F@H running and HL2..

Thats some good temps. I don't mind my temps as long as they don't go much higher than 50 load i'm not bothered. Of course i want some headroom for ocing but since my crappy generic ram won't let me its a lost cause.
