Not that you can really find an Intel SLI mobo these days anyway but if you do, look towards AMD if you want to pop in an extra card. Apparently Intel's version simply can't compete with AMD's, you get a little boost but not nearly what you'd want for the money. Granted it's not as optimized but this can't help but serve as yet another reason to look towards AMD before Intel. "She said that performance is simply not there and that it will be very hard to persuade people to go into the shop and buy two graphic cards and plug them in Nforce 4 for Intel motherboards." finish the article
hmm. Well you know what this moment is? I call it the "no duh" basically, intel is whiping up AMD's bloody carnage with one card. Now two, intel's gonna be eatin chum> Though I do have to respect intel. They lower my prices
It's a little early to point the blame, but I'd wager there are still some bugs to be worked out for the Intel platform. This is entirely speculation, but Intel doesn't use an on-die memory controller like AMD's does with their A64's, and uses the traditional northbridge/southbridge chipset combo. This *could* have something to do with it, but it could be something else, and I'm thinking along the lines of the drivers.
