Nintendo has announced a slimmed down version of its handheld game gadget. The DS Lite will be unveiled later this year and will be two-thirds smaller and 20% lighter than the existing dual screen gadget. Nintendo said the release of the DS Lite did not mean it would stop making the full size version. The games maker is planning to launch the device in Japan in March but no dates have been released for launches in other territories. BBC News
Wasn't the DS pretty slim anyway??!! Wow..I used to like Nintendo, but they've gone over board. Young children everywhere will buy these new slim ones and then realize that they're almost exactly the same as the regular DSs. Shame..
Just like the gameboy micro, that specs haven't changed since the GBA, save for the screen brightness and a bit of battery life but after 5 or so years you'd expect a little more. Makes you wonder sometimes. Now if the PSP had dual analog sticks and more good games then I could really see it going somewhere.
