No 4:3 settings for monitor

Hi,

My 4:3 Monitor things its a wide screen monitor.

How can i get more settings?

Cheers

hi, i presume your resolution modes dont show standard 4:3 modes (such as 1024x768)

go into display properties > settings > Advanced > monitor > properties >

change it to plug+play.

if that doesnt work (or if your monitor isnt plug+play) then untick "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display) and click OK that will unlock all the possible resolution modes your gpu can handle

Hi,

Now I have the 4:3 1280 * 1024 up and running But the widescreen notebook should be 1280 * 768 is the same as the 4:3 and scrolls up and down.

Grrrr

cant you change it on the laptop as you did on the 4:3, you would be able to set up both monitors connected together as a wide desktop and setup each monitor accordingly to its screen ratio and personal settings

I was trying to clone - but is probably the problem?

i could have 1024*768 on the 4:3 and 1280*768 on the notebook but now its 1280 * 1024 on both

im not sure about resolution differences on "clone" mode but if you used to be able to do it then i'd try reinstalling the gpu drivers

before doing that just keep trying i dont see any reason why it shouldnt work, are you clicking on the monitor you want to change does it change both at the same time

I can change the settings on both but it has no effect on the notebook. I cant even make the notebook the primary monitor with the 4:3 plugged in.
