Noisy Hard drive

ive got a nikimi 60gb 7200 rpm hard drive, and its so noisy, my pc is quiet when the hdd is not connected it sounds like a jet engine!!!

anyone know why???

Let me reiterate what harrack52 already said. It could be a sign that your HDD is going out, or it could just be shoddy manufacturing. If it's always sounded like that, it could be the latter; if it's a new issue, it could be the former. I don't know Nikimi hard drives; I've never encountered one before.
