Hello everyone I am currently fixing a computer for a client of mine and just wanted to search for ideas.

The graphics card is a GeForce 9500 GS with a fan problem. The fan was grinding, stopping and starting more stopping than anything.
So I completely disassembled the fan, heatisink and housing etc. Cleaned them off, added new TIG and put it back togther.

The fan works much better. However on startup the fan runs flawlessly during normal idle it runs fine then after a little while when heat builts then the fan starts getting slower or stopping altogether.

If there was a problem with the fan shouldn't the fan stop on start up as well. (Even when rebooted from a hot idle system)

Or is this still a sign of a dead fan but intermittent
