I have a packard bell laptop, and after 18months use it is a bit slow, and suffering a few problems, so I decided (in ignorence) to reformat the whole disc, and then install a new xp home edition os. Everything works, except there is no sound and video is jerky, and poor... windows update doesnt have a driver, and I cant find one on the nvidia site!! I think its an "nv34gl" thats the problem.. can anyone help?? Phill
The nv34 core is the Geforce FX 5200 card, so the driver you should need is here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_mobile_81.94.html
Ta very much , will have a go and see what happens.... I was begining to wonder if Laptops required a special version of XP!! Phill
Have tried this one before, it says that there is no hardware for this driver!! Am I doing something wrong?? Phill
How, or where can I find the exact details of the hrdware? The info I posted is what comes up on the screen at bootup! so I may have it wrong!! Phill
