I just installed SuSE 10.0 and I have visuals but my video card doesn't want to work.

Because nvidia stoped supporting legacy cards after 7174, I am using the old driver to install it. When I first tried to install the driver, it couldn't find the kernel source. I was able to get around this by putting
    Code:
     --kernel-source-path=/usr/src/linux
once I Got that working, it goes to 100% building the kernel module, but than says error: unable to build kernel module. I've been googling the problem but it seems that no one has the problem with building it. In addition to the above, I've added a script to something in /boot/ that was suggested by linuxquestions.com and a few entries to /etc/udev/static_devices.txt suggested by suseforums.net. I also removed /etc/modprobe.d/nividia which was also recomended by the suse forums web page.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? If anyone knows how to fix this, can you please help me out. I would really appreciate it.
