    Hello,

As I am going to buy a new PC I wish to know which video card brand should to go with keeping in view the future developments such as Intel's release of their Core i7 (Nehalem) processors by the end of this year. And as you know there is dispute between intel and Nvidia at present and it may be possible that Nvidia may not be able to support intel's next processors i.e. Core i7, do you think that Nvidia which is today the defacto standard in PC gaming and widely recognized would lose this position to the ATI video cards in near future? So should I go forward with Nvidia or ATI? Kindly recommend. Thanks:)

surely unless you are going to spend a wad of cash it makes no odds if you are buying soon. Perhaps waiting and buying a system with core i7 is a good move if you have the cash but as far as graphics go pick the best card for you within your budget now, as they will all be worth nowt in a year or two anyway. Personally on a smallish budget to get a new rig for xmass am going for a HD 4850.

I haven't heard about this news, can you please tell me your source??? thanks.

Besides i really doubt either Nividia or Intel will take such drastic actions over a dispute because they would stand to loose a lot, on both sides. But i would really like to find out more about this fight, i have tried to look it up on BBC website but cant find anything about it, so can you provide me with a link to a article or something.

BTW if i was you i would stick to ATi because at the moment you get a lot of bang for buck from ATi cards. I think it's also a good idea to wait for Intel's new chip.

currently the radeon x2 4780 is the fastest video card there is. or has something changed that?!?
and i am buying a gtx 260 tomorrow, fast card, not the fastest, and i am not a real gamer.

Separation and a change of heart? Considering how much money both nVidia and Intel would lose if they were to not be compatible with each other I would say- NOT GONNA HAPPEN (NOT A CHANCE)

Plan on going Intel/nVidia for sure. I haven't read anything on i7 cores yet, gonna do it now.. I hope they are something outrageous like 32nm.
