NVidia Video Adapters Not Working

Ok, so I just installed Windows 7 on a PC that was running with no problems using Ubuntu. I have two NVidia video cards. I have an eVGA 8800 GTS and an ASUS (I can't remember the model number off the top of my head). So, I install Windows 7 everything seems to work ok. I am trying to use this PC as an HTPC with two outputs, a TV and a monitor. The eVGA was the original card I had installed. When I try and enter the Nvidia software it tells me there is no Nvidia Adapter present. So I installed the ASUS card, being newer and better, with the same outcome. I need to get into the software to enable the second output. It worked flawlessly when I had Ubuntu installed and there was no software present. PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

Did you install the software and drivers from the disk that came with the video card or did you download it from Nvidia? If you installed from a new driver downloaded from the internet, I would uninstall all the nvidia software and then try it from the disk to see if it will work. Also, if you are running 64bit windows and not 32 bit, see if Nvidia has any drivers specifically for 64bit as some drivers for hardware will not work on both 32bit and 64bit operating systems.
