heres the "explination" http://www.ocworkbench.com/ocwbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=40;t=000052;p=0 I really dont understand how a dns error woudl cause this, i mean even if it could cause this what ere the chances of theese two companies getting mixed up? err...... like my chances of passing english!
I guess it would only really damage the credibility if OCWorkBench is constantly pushing Gbytes products but then again, if it belongs to GByte, they should be allowed too!! If OCWorkBench continues to provide helpful objective info and as a meeting place for the likeminded sharing one anothers' problems then it seems fine to me. It'd only tip me over the edge if they had previously secretly pushed GBYtes products more than others in an unfair manner... My thoughts at least
Well, I can see that being a possibility. Depending on the size of the site and traffic patterns, you might find a few websites on one server hosted by the same company. If the DNS is screwed up where the IP address for one site is mistakenly set to use the url of another site, yeah...that could do what just happened there. It doesn't happen frequently, but it's obviously not impossible.
