I just installed one stick of 512 MB SDRAM PC 133 on a friend's P3 800MHz. When starting up the pc is saying that I have a 256MB installed ?? Can anyone suggest whats going on ? Im sure that I bought a 512MB and it has written on it too !

Most Pentium 3 motherboards cannot except one 512MB stick. Instead you will need to use two 256MB sticks. You should check the motherboard's manual for more information

You might be able to correct this by updating the BIOS to the latest version, but don't hold your breath.

    No problem :)

NEC, Kingston and Samsung make reliable PC100/133 SDRAM
