Really need some help if possible. I have a old Toshiba laptop which is very handy for word processing and nice and cheap. It doesn't hold a charge and I have to use a power lead to keep it working. However sometimes it just switches itself off The other day this happened and when I switched it back on it said enter command interpreter e.g command.com or something along those lines. Anyway I had a backup disc, used that, ran scandisk which said that most of the computer was broken and needed fixing. Anyway scandisk fixed everything it could. Now when I switch it off I don't get any error messages but it just comes up with c:\> and I don't know what to do. I just need to log in one more time to save all the important stuff to disk as hopefully getting a nice brand new laptop soon. I can't access anything not even in safe mode and would really love some advice because have some important stuff on there. If I have ballsed it up is there anyway I can transfer the stuff from my laptop to another computer? Thanks and I appreciate any help!
