Can anyone recomend a PCI-E AMD socket 939 nFoece4 mobo that has onboard vga and is decent performance wise. Im not that worried about how good the onboard vga is, just the performance of the board.

The reason i ask is that if i can find a mobo like the one above then i can upgrade to pci-e and ddr2 and then get a nice graphics card later on. Im very cash straped and i dont want to spend any cash on agp.

    Thanx

Anything with a nForce 6100 chipset will do the job. I've been hearing good things about the Biostar TForce boards.

You won't find any 939 motherboard with DDR2, simply because DDR2 is only supported with AM2 and newer CPU's. The Athlon64 design has the memory controller on the CPU die instead of the chipset, and therefore the Socket 939/754 A64's cannot run with DDR2, even if the socket was compatible (it's not).

I wouldn't be that worried about it now, but getting PCIe-based would be a much better move.

Have you still got your old AGP card?

    Yes

But its not compatible with pci-e and thats the whole point of this. I want onboard vga on a pci-e board so i can upgrade to pci-e now and get a nice pci-e card later on
