One of the usb device has malfuntioned

I have this IBM optical usb mouse model MO09BO but sometimes it stops working and I receive this error message "one of the usb device attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it".
Some one please help me ,I tried every thing but to no avail and am really desperate now.

 

try another usb port.
if that doesn't help, the mouse may be bad.

 

I did that but it didn't help,sometimes it works but stops working suddenly and I get that error message.

 

do you have another mouse?

 

No,this is the only mouse I use
