The venerable browser by Opera which bares the same name has reached version 8.52. You can download the latest version for free from Opera. This release is a recommended security upgrade.

I hope they fixed the URL dropdown thing where if the page wasn't done loading, and you dropped the menu down and clicked a link, the thing would crash. Downloading it right now, crossing my fingers.

That may be a Windows-specific problem, as I've never had that issue in Opera under Linux.

Very possible, because it happens at home and at work, both PC's running WinXP Pro Corp SP2, with same version of Opera. I'll try it out tomorrow at work and see if it's Opera or windows.

Still no NTLM support for windows domains? Drat.

Edit: seems I was wrong! They HAVE implemented it, it works now! :)

Has anyone heard anything more about the rumoured Microsoft take-over bid? If that were ever to happen, it'd be a sad, sad day :(

No, didn't hear anything of it. If they were to try to buy *my* software (not that I've made any), I'd immediately GPL it :p

    Hahaha, well said!

Concerning the rumour though, Opera has officially stated that all of there rumors recently circulating (including those about MS or Google purchasing them) are simply that - rumours. At least, at this point...
