    Hi!

I just wanted to tell everybody how I got rid of this nasty OE6 error. The symptoms are simple: you can receive mail, but can't send any (receiving a message "Unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP Port: 0 Secure: No [SSL] Error: 0x800c0131"). However, you can send a few e-mails by restarting the PC. But I think that this is a somewhat unsatisfying solution.

The most popular solution to this is removing the Folders.dbx file and making OE6 to create a new one. This not only is not working, it also destroys all your directory structure and message rules and,and,and... not such a good solution, i'd say (or to be precice - not a solution at all :p). Anyways, what's the real problem - the Sent Items folder. It should be cleaned regulary, as well as other folders should be. The best is to remove the "Sent Items.dbx" file from your OE6 storage folder and dump it somewhere safe. Later, if needed, you can import those messages via the OE6 built-in import wizard (ie File->import).

Hope people out there find this useful, 'cause it made me a lot of headake.

I prefer Mozilla Thunderbird as a mail client. I've alwas seen Outlook Express as a "cheap" program.
