when ever i run outlook it seems to be freezing up, i mean it runs, but very slowly, the firewall i have blocks pretty much any incoming virus attachements, however netsky version P managed to get through somewhere on the network, could this be the cause?

Not sure. If you don't have an anti-virus, you can snag AVG off Grisoft's website. I know outlook starts up slowly if you don't disable Windows Messenger, but that doesn't sound like your problem

I'd go by Trend-Micro and get a quick online scan. It's free, and they have one of the best scan engines available.

Good point. I prefer the Thunderbird mail client. It's free, has all the niftiest features of Outlook, it's skinnable, and it doesn't have 80,000 security flaws. Of course, I don't run Windows at all anymore, but I wouldn't run Outlook even if I did. ;)
